Only a couple of days until the start of NaNoWriMo. I just can't wait to get started. The story idea is getting more detailed, I'm drawing more and more pictures to go with it, and I'm already thinking of which scenes I want to write first and how to tie them together and then divide into chapters. All in all, the only problem is the time I still have to wait.
Well, that and the other ideas. Teeny tiny oneshot bunnies would be more than welcome, as I could spend the waiting time writing them, but instead I get epic multichapter bunnies that breed and split into more and more bunnies. I have two or three fanfic ideas with complicated backgrounds, plenty of flashbacks, chracter development, complex original characters, and very unlikely relationships. One threatens to be at least a dozen chapters long, while the others tell me they would prefer to be trilogies. I don't have time for trilogies right now.
...At least, since they're not my NaNo, there's no reason I can't write down certain lines as they pop into my mind... like "I always loved you. I was just never in love with you. I could have made you happy if you hadn't asked for that."
Also, how many different pieces of jewellery can one make with the same pattern/symbol? Hairpins, earrings, bracelet, necklace/charm, rings, maybe anklet -- anything else? I've rather abandoned the thought of keychains or mobile phone straps, since the jewellery in question is supposed to be at least semi-precious -- the kind a fairly wealthy father would give to his only daughter once a year. And is it too cruel to give a bitter, jealous wife a name meaning "happy"?
