NaNoWriMo starts in a week.
To those curious or still unclear on the matter, NaNoWriMo, short for National Novel Writing Month, is an annual challenge for semi-sane writers everywhere. The goal? Write a story of at least 50,000 words during the month of November.
The problem? I cannot wait.
If this were the only problem, I might be able to cope. I have an outline of over 7,000 words, several pictures, notes, and other such plans. I've been struggling with the idea for a month now; I can do it for another week.
If not for the other ideas that are starting to infest my brain. Like the sci-fi universe I've never quite given enough attention to.
Therefore, to give these ideas a place to go play in, and to keep track of my fifth slow descent into the madness that is NaNoWriMo, I'm finally starting the writing blog I've been planning for quite a while. You may expect ever-changing character profiles, random or deeply interconnected scenes, bits of dialogue, worldbuilding, and plot outlines in several universes, moaning about a writer's block, and semi-coherent rants at 3 AM.
Or lists of various ways to kill off a person with a knitted, stuffed toy bear. When it comes to plot bunnies, I'm not that picky.
